British Mortgage Awards 2011 – Best Buy to Let Broker
On 28 June 2011 luminaries of the mortgage industry gathered at Hilton Park Lane, London for the British Mortgage Awards 2011. The awards ceremony, now in its sixth year, is held to celebrate and honour the achievements and excellence of individuals in the industry. The shortlist was compiled through nominations and the winner chosen by an elite panel from the mortgage industry.
An individual award, The Best Buy To Let Broker was presented to Ying Tan of The Buy To Let Business for his professionalism, outstanding knowledge and dedication to the development of the intermediary market. This is Ying Tan’s second British Mortgage award. In 2010 he won the Best Specialist Broker.
After receiving the award, Tan said, “I’m delighted to receive this accolade. I am especially delighted to receive this award from Paragon, it’s great to have them back!” He was also quick to recognise the contributions of his staff, “although this is a personal award, this award reflects the dedication of the whole team. It reflects their efforts to consistently exceed clients’ expectations, and maintain a high quality and volume of business introduced to lenders. I am most proud of this.”

British Mortgage Awards 2010 – Best Specialist Broker
This was an individual award won in July 2010 by the MD of The Buy to Let Business, Ying Tan. The shortlist was compiled through nominations and the winner was chosen by an elite panel of senior industry people. This award was for delivering a consistent level of quality business over the past year, and for building strong relationships with lenders.
After accepting the award, Ying Tan said: “I am delighted to have been given this accolade. While I am proud to have been given this personal award, it’s also a reflection of the efforts of the whole team. And it further underlines our commitment to working in the best interest of our clients.”
