2019: The Year of Dynamic Change

 In Blog

2019 has been a challenging, eventful and ultimately highly successful year for Dynamo. Earlier in the year we rebranded from The Buy to Let Business to Dynamo in a bid to reflect the company’s evolution into a dynamic fintech business which caters for all sectors of the mortgage market and not just buy to let.

Rebranding is always a difficult exercise and it conjures up far more challenges than you might initially think. However, it was a necessary move which all the team bought into and importantly all our strategic partners are fully behind. It has been met with great enthusiasm across the market and we are delighted by the positive responses we have received over the course of the year.

Some of this hard work was reflected in being awarded the title of Buy-to-Let Broker of the Year at the prestigious Mortgage Introducer Awards, recently held at the Tower of London. This came amidst some tough competition and provides great recognition of our continued work within the BTL sector.

It has remained a challenging year for landlords. However, one thing I have learned from being a landlord myself for the best part of 25 years is that the most successful landlords are always able to adapt and find ways to get the most out of their individual investments and/or property portfolios.

We are no longer operating in a buy-to-let marketplace where we are guaranteed year-on-year double digit growth, but it will continue to be profitable for the right kind of landlord who does their research, understands the market and tackles this as a business venture, rather than just a dinner party anecdote. This also underlines the value of a good professional advice process and additional support for all types of landlord.

I am looking forward to 2020 with a heady mix of enthusiasm and optimism. And let me take this opportunity to wish you a very merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
